Pelvic Health Physiotherapist | University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust
This exciting Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapy role offers a unique opportunity to work within a supportive experienced team, seamlessly bridging the gap between primary and secondary care, across three sites.
You will manage a truly diverse clinical caseload, delivering specialist interventions to both male and female patients.
Your daily work will include referrals from GPs, other AHPs and midwives, and a range of specialties including urology, colorectal, gynaecology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, and pain services.
Working within this dynamic environment will allow you to build exceptional multi- disciplinary connections, develop advanced clinical reasoning, and contribute to a rapidly evolving , holistic service.
This role is for a Band 6 clinician, however we would consider a Band 5-6 development role for the right candidate.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

The service includes Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists and a Therapy Technician and is committed to research, innovation and achieving the best outcomes for patients.

- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate specialist, evidence-based, person-centred pelvic health interventions.
- Manage a caseload of patients with a range of pelvic health conditions, using individual and group interventions as appropriate.
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning and specialist knowledge to provide effective treatment in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Support the development of junior staff and physiotherapy students through supervision, teaching and appraisal.
- Contribute to clinical practice improvement, service development and evaluation.
- Support the ongoing development of the Trust’s Physiotherapy Service.
- Lead on information management, ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality data collection, analysis and reporting.

- Be professional, legally responsible & accountable for all aspects of own work and activities, to manage clinical risk within own clinical caseload.
- Carry a clinical caseload of highly complex patients, provide advanced therapeutic assessment & evaluation and provide detailed written treatment plans with patient centred goals working within Pelvic Health.
- Work as an autonomous practitioner and member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to team discussions and influencing decisions about patient care programs, taking on the role of care Co-Ordinator and/ or vocational lead where relevant.
- Carry out treatment, using a broad variety of modalities and clinical reasoning to allow selection of the most appropriate technique evaluating, modifying and recording all interventions and outcomes & adapting them to meet the needs of the patient.
- Use highly developed manual treatment skills requiring coordination, sensation & dexterity.
- Assist in the production and deliver an annual report specific to own clinical area & participate in the delivery of the Physiotherapy business plan.
