Data Quality Administrator | University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust
The post-holder will work as part of the Clinical Administration team, within the Data Quality function to ensure that patient related data held within the Trust is accurate and complete to enable reliable and robust reporting, for example SUS/DQMI, to support clinical and business processes, statutory information returns and income generation.
Key to the role will be using systems to identify data quality and front-end user issues on the Trusts patient administration systems, using a variety of tools and in collaboration with the services identify the root causes of the issues.
Collaboration with services and stakeholders across the Trust to develop solutions to the issues including the development of standard operating procedures and quick reference guides.
Be a subject matter expert in all aspects of data quality and associate metrics across patient data management systems, ensuring knowledge and adherence to all relevant national policy and procedures.
Monitor and report on performance and improvements to ensure data quality levels are consistently achieved and escalated to the Data Quality Lead as appropriate.

Work with the Data Quality Lead and the wider Clinical Administration team to monitor and promote data quality throughout the Trust, taking robust steps to escalation complex, high-risk or recurring issues via the Data Quality Lead.
- Keep up to date with all relevant national and local guidance, policy and procedures relating to data quality and patient data management.
- Validate and assess the standard of data held within the Trust, making corrections, advising findings, producing validation reports to highlight data errors and anomalies and proactively address these through relevant staff, offering advice as appropriate as directed by the Data Quality Lead.
- Support the development and maintenance of validation processes, standard operating procedures and guidance to promote a consistent, sustainable approach to day-to-day data quality management across the Trust.
- Lead on routine day to day data quality validation, ensuring issues are identified, investigated, resolved or appropriately escalated, working collaboratively with services to improve data accuracy, compliance and sustainability.
