We are looking for experienced registered nurse to come and join our Surgical Assessment Ward.
The Surgical Assessment Ward is a fast paced acute surgical area providing high quality treatment and ongoing care for patients requiring urgent surgical intervention.
The Band 6 role involves coordinating clinical activity, supporting the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring safe, effective, and patient centred care.
The post holder will be expected to provide clinical leadership, supervise junior staff, manage patient flow, and contribute to service improvement while maintaining high standards of care and compliance with Trust policies and procedures.”

- Utilise and ensure others utilise information and IT systems to secure accurate and timely patient, workforce and resource data.
- Manage expected clinical events/enquiries, requiring high but unpredictable levels of physical effort, ensuring referral to a senior member of staff where appropriate e. g in an unexpected event.
- Support patients, carers and others during difficult situations arising in the clinical area, e. g imparting bad news or following an unexpected event.
- Promote and monitor adherence to Health and Safety and Trust policy designed to protect healthcare staff and service users from known hazards.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment ensuring adherence to Trust standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times
