Job Description
We are looking for reliable and hardworking
Production Operatives - Hangers to join our production team.
Dayshift Monday - Friday 6:20am - 3:20pm.
Backshift Sunday 11:30am - 8:30pm; Monday - Thursday 3:20pm - 12:20am.
Hourly rate - £13.83 moving to £14.83 on successful completion of training. Shift allowance - £50 per week (Backshift only).
This is an important role at the beginning of our production process.
As a Hanger, you will work within our live bird handling and processing area, where you will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling live poultry and placing birds onto the production line.
This is a physical and repetitive role that requires good manual handling skills, concentration and the ability to work consistently as part of a team.
Due to the nature of the position, applicants must be comfortable handling live poultry and working within a poultry slaughter and processing environment .
- What You'll Be Doing
- Safely handling live poultry.
- Placing birds correctly and securely onto the production line.
- Working at the required production pace while maintaining animal welfare standards.
- Following established live bird handling and animal welfare procedures.
- Monitoring birds and reporting any welfare concerns immediately.
- Following strict health & safety, hygiene and biosecurity procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure the production line operates effectively.
- Following all site procedures, training and instructions.
Qualifications
You do not necessarily need previous poultry experience, as training will be provided. However, previous experience in poultry processing, farming, agriculture, food production or another physical production environment may be beneficial.

- Physically capable of carrying out repetitive manual work
- Able to work safely and consistently at production pace
