We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing Library Assistant for our Client based in Cookstown Library. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body.
STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basis:
- Week one: Monday 10.00-5.30, Tuesday 10.00-2.00, Thursday OFF, Friday 10.00-5.00, Saturday 10.00-4.00
- Week two: Monday 10.00-5.30, Tuesday 12.30-7.30, Thursday OFF, Friday 10.00-5.00, Saturday OFF
Standard hourly rate:
Duties include:
- Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
- Providing all library services to meet the learning, information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
Requirements:
- Must have 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
- 1 year experience providing face to face service with the public
- Experience working with young children and elderly people
- Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
