An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive consultant in Nephrology to join our friendly, enthusiastic team at University Hospitals Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB). This is a substantive position based at Royal Derby Hospital with the expectation that cross-site working in Burton and Lichfield may also be needed.

In return we will offer:

  • Responsible for the care & treatment of patients in your charge & personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan, allowing for all proper delegation to, & training of your staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining awareness of professional guidelines & acting in accordance with them.
  • Responsible for the professional supervision, training & management of junior medical staff, carrying out teaching, examination & accreditation duties as required & contributing to postgraduate & continuing medical education activity locally, regionally & nationally as appropriate.
  • Provision of an out of hours' service with your Consultant colleagues including on-call rota commitments, as indicated in the enclosed job plan.
