Consultant Anaesthetist with a Specialist Interest in Ophthalmic

Essential Specialist Requirement Expertise in Ophthalmic Anaesthesia Applicants must demonstrate substantial experience and competency in Ophthalmic Anaesthesia and be able to provide independent consultant-level anaesthetic care for ophthalmic surgical procedures from commencement in post.

The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting the continued development and expansion of ophthalmic surgical services at North Middlesex University Hospital.

Person Specification Applicants must have: Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practise.

FRCA or equivalent specialist qualification.

Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthesia, or be within six months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview.

Experience in emergency and obstetric anaesthesia.

Significant experience in ophthalmic anaesthetic practice.

Evidence of participation in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

A strong commitment to multidisciplinary team working.

Enthusiasm for education, teaching and professional development.

A patient-centred approach to care.
