As our Compliance Administrator and Buyer, you'll provide essential support to the team, helping to ensure servicing and inspections are completed on time, processing invoices, raising purchase orders, supporting legal processes where required, and maintaining accurate records that enable key compliance programmes to operate effectively. This is an opportunity to develop valuable knowledge of social housing compliance while working in a role where organisation, accuracy and attention to detail make a genuine difference. What you'll be doing
- Support the compliance team to ensure servicing and inspections are carried out on or before anniversary dates
- Raise purchase orders for suppliers and contractors following servicing and repair visits, investigating any anomalies where required
- Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Instruct solicitors to issue legal letters following breaches of tenancy agreements
- Gather evidence and collate legal packs for compliance cases ahead of court hearings
- Undertake accurate data entry and maintain compliance records and systems
- Prepare agendas, arrange meetings, organise room bookings and collate minutes
- Support the compliance team with all aspects of strategic administrative support
- Support the Compliance Team's communication plan with colleagues, customers and contractors
- Support the alignment of compliance policies, procedures and processes
- Assist with updating and monitoring compliance systems and processes
- Support the team to achieve compliance targets and regulatory requirements
- Assist with the production of statistical reports relating to no-access visits
- Support the wider Compliance function as required
What we're looking for
We're looking for a highly organised and methodical administrator who enjoys working in a detailed, process-driven environment. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, handling sensitive information and maintaining a high level of accuracy. You’ll bring:
- Experience of raising purchase orders, processing invoices or supporting purchasing activities
- Experience in an administrative, coordination or support role
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors and external organisations
- The ability to use your initiative and work independently when required
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn quickly
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience working within a legal practice, solicitor's office or supporting legal processes
- Experience gathering evidence, preparing case documentation or managing legal correspondence
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- Experience supporting compliance, housing, property investment or related operational activities
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment
