Days: £16.37 per hour | Nights: £18.05 per hour | Sundays: £20.41 per hour
Day Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Night Shifts: Sunday to Friday, 10:00pm to 8:00am
Are you an experienced Paediatric Complex Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Children's Support Worker, Complex Care Support Worker, or Clinical Support Worker looking for a rewarding role supporting a young person with complex healthcare needs? Libertatem is seeking a compassionate and skilled Female Paediatric Complex Care Assistant to join a specialist care team supporting a young client in her family home in Edmonton, London. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, one-to-one care while building a meaningful relationship and supporting a child to live safely, happily, and as independently as possible.
About the Client
Our client is a bright young person who enjoys watching cartoons, singing, listening to stories, watching YouTube videos, and using her iPad. She loves engaging with those around her and benefits from support that is calm, nurturing, and focused on her individual needs. She attends school during the week and enjoys being involved in everyday activities. Staff play an important role in helping her remain safe, supported, and engaged throughout the day and night. The client is fully mobile and able to walk independently. Promoting and encouraging her independence is essential at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Support clinical care needs in line with training and care plans
- Provide tracheostomy care and monitoring
- Perform tracheal suctioning when required
- Administer oxygen therapy
- Safely administer medication
- Promote wellbeing, comfort, and emotional security
- Supervise online activities to ensure safe internet use
- Encourage participation in age-appropriate activities
- Monitor and report changes in health or wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals
Essential Experience
Applicants must have previous experience in paediatric complex care and be competent in:
- Tracheostomy Care
- Tracheal Suctioning
- Oxygen Therapy
- Medication Administration
- Supporting Children with Complex Healthcare Needs
