We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team in North East Essex within the field of Physiotherapy. This 2 day per week post will be part of our rotational scheme, which includes rotations in:

  • Acute Hospital - Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Older Peoples care, Critical Care, acute paediatrics, stroke Unit, Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics
  • Community Hospitals IP's
  • Community rehab
  • MSK Outpatients
  • Neurorehabilitation and admission avoidance

Staff are expected to participate in 7 day working & work on the inpatient respiratory on-call rota. Please be aware that unfortunately we would be unable to offer more hours or alter the working days. Interviews will be held in person, due to the practical nature of these posts. Proposed Interview date: 20th August 2026.

You will be expected to perform safe, evidenced based physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations & complex physical & psychological conditions & deliver an individualised treatment programme from a range of options. You'll undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with diverse or complex presentations, using clinical reasoning skills & manual assessment techniques to assist in diagnosis & choose from a range of treatment options to achieve the desired goal.

To formulate treatment plans & recommend best course of intervention, considering patients’ personal goals & objectives, to develop comprehensive discharge plans. You will be responsible for your own caseload & for a defined area of the service, initially with supervision of senior staff then progressing towards working without direct supervision. Supervision involves regular formal training & clinical reasoning sessions, peer review & one to one assessments.

You'll be professionally & legally accountable for all aspects of your own work, including issues around consent and capacity. To manage clinical risk within your own patient caseload.
