We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PDI Technician to join our reputable client’s team in Colchester, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated automotive professional to advance their career within a respected dealership known for delivering quality vehicle inspections and exceptional customer service.

Competitive base salary of £31,000, with an achievable OTE of £34,000. Performance-related productivity bonus and uncapped Time Saved Bonus Scheme. Monday to Friday working hours, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturday rota. Opportunities for career growth and development through manufacturer accredited training programmes. Duties of a PDI Technician:

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections on both new and used vehicles.
  • Diagnose vehicle faults efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure vehicles are serviced, repaired, and maintained to manufacturer standards.
  • Record all work completed with precision, maintaining high-quality documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service by representing the workshop professionally.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver timely, cost-effective vehicle solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of manufacturer guidelines and undertake relevant training as required.

Requirements of a PDI Technician:

  • Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing.
  • Demonstrable ability to carry out vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to undertake manufacturer-specific training programs, including Hybrid and Electric vehicle courses.
  • Full UK driving licence.
