We have an exciting opportunity to join our Estates Department at East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT). To principally provide a comprehensive building maintenance service for the repair, maintenance and new works installation. Maintenance requirements will be located at ESNEFT owned, leased properties, and properties where ESNEFT provide an estates maintenance service, via a service level agreement or management agreement.

This includes the maintenance and repair of existing assets as well as the inspection and verification testing of new equipment and systems, delivered by outside contractors, and to ensure at all times, a safe environment for patients, public and staff. Whilst the primary task will be building work, the post holder must have a flexible approach to a range of building maintenance operations.

Please note, your shift pattern will include Saturdays and you may be required to be part of an on-call rota. Ensuring building (and other) safety of tradespersons and craft assistants working on systems under direction as a competent person for electrical (and other) activities, and at all times to ensure the safety of patients, public and staff. Reporting any issues of concern to supervisors, estates officers or senior managers as necessary.

Fire door maintenance and repairs are an essential part of this role, including locks and all associated fittings.
