Overview of the Head of Construction – Stephenson College, part of Loughborough College Group. Responsible for the education and training of education programmes for young people (16‑19) across a range of construction and building services curriculum areas, including Professional Construction, Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Multi‑trade, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality and challenging learning experiences, develop and implement curriculum portfolios that respond to local, college and national priorities, and devise appropriate assessments.
- Lead and manage a team, fostering a proactive and adaptable environment within the changing Further Education landscape.
- Evaluate performance data and implement key performance indicators, ensuring continuous quality improvement.

- Highly organised, motivated, with strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven line‑management and programme‑management record.
- Strong analytical and digital skills with knowledge of FE data reporting systems.
