About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced, proactive and highly organised Export Operations Manager to lead and develop the export operation at a manufacturing facility in Appleton Thorn, Warrington.
This newly created role has been introduced to support continued international growth.
You will take ownership of the export operation, ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, loaded and dispatched on time to destinations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for
- Managing the full export process from order release through to loading and dispatch.
- Ensuring export orders are prepared, checked and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Coordinating export activity across air freight, sea freight and road transport.
- Overseeing export packing lists, customs paperwork and related documentation.
- Leading, motivating and developing the export loading team.
- Planning daily workloads to meet customer and shipping deadlines.
- Working closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Planning, Warehouse and Logistics teams.
- Ensuring customer‑specific loading, packaging and handling requirements are followed.
- Monitoring export performance and driving improvements in quality, accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintaining safe working practices and supporting a positive health and safety culture.
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident managing export operations, leading a team and improving processes in a busy warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in export operations, logistics, warehouse management or a similar operational leadership role.
- Strong understanding of export documentation, customs requirements and international shipping processes.
- Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
- Confident leading teams, setting standards and improving performance.
- A practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external transport partners.
- Permanent position with long‑term career potential.
- Competitive salary of £45,000 to £49,000 per annum.
- Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4pm, with an early finish every Friday at 12 noon.
