Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced
CNC Machinist to join an established engineering business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled
CNC Machinist, CNC Setter Operator or CNC Machine Operator looking to join a professional engineering team and develop their skills further.
The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining experience, with
MIG and TIG welding experience desirable. However, welding experience is not essential, and candidates with a solid machining background will be considered, with
training available in welding.
What We Offer
- Full-time, Monday-Friday working pattern.
- Monday to Thursday:
8am-4:30pm.
- Friday:
8am-3:30pm.
- Opportunity to join an established engineering business.

Key Duties
- Set and operate
CNC machinery.
- Carry out CNC machining to required specifications.
- Read and interpret
- Produce high-quality components to required standards.
- Carry out MIG, TIG and stick welding where required, with training available.
- Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively as part of a skilled engineering team.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a
CNC Machinist or in a similar CNC machining role.
- Strong CNC machining and setting/operating experience.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to develop additional engineering skills.
MIG, TIG or stick welding experience is desirable but not essential.
- Candidates without welding experience will be considered, with training available.
