We’re looking for an energetic, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join our team in Clitheroe.

This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse and people-management experience who enjoys leading from the front. You’ll support our Warehouse Supervisors and Manager, take ownership of your area and help your team deliver high standards of safety, quality and performance every day.

Working Hours: 18:00 – 06:00, Fortnightly rotating shift pattern - Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Wednesday,

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Take ownership of your warehouse area, which could include Despatch, Goods In, Chiller, Ambient or Low Care
  • Lead, motivate and support your team throughout the shift
  • Allocate work effectively to meet the changing needs of the operation
  • Coach and mentor colleagues, sharing your knowledge and helping people develop
  • Make sure team members receive the right training and support to carry out their roles safely and confidently
  • Promote a positive “can-do” culture and strong team-working ethic
  • Plan weekly rotas for your department
  • Step up to provide cover for other Team Leaders and Supervisors when required
  • Act as the first point of contact when day-to-day challenges arise, working with the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager to find
  • solutions
  • Use our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support the smooth running of warehouse operations
  • Maintain accurate departmental records and documentation
  • Support BRC and other audits, internal audits, quality systems and SOP compliance
  • Ensure safe systems of work and Health & Safety procedures are followed
  • Monitor daily start-up checks and sign-offs for machinery and equipment, escalating any issues promptly
  • Support COSHH requirements and documentation
  • What we’re looking for
  • Previous team leadership, supervisory or people-management experience
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead a team
  • Good computer skills and experience using a Warehouse Management System
  • An understanding of food safety principles and good warehouse practices
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment
  • An understanding of BRC standards
  • The ability to organise, prioritise and respond quickly when plans change
  • A flexible, self-motivated and enthusiastic approach
  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene
  • Level 1 or 2 HACCP
  • Hygiene and Chemical Awareness
  • FLT Counterbalance Certificate
  • PPT Certificate
  • Bendi/Pivot Steer FLT Certificate
