We're looking for a QA Supervisor to join our Technical team in Clitheroe. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality professional who wants to make a real impact by driving standards, coaching teams, and helping us deliver products our customers can trust. Location: The Compleat Food Group, Twin Brook Business Park, Twin Brook Road, Clitheroe, BB7 1QX

Working Hours: 06:00 – 18:00, Fortnightly rotating shift pattern - Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Pay: £34,000 per annum

Reporting To: QA Manager

What You'll Be Doing: As our QA Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards across the site. You'll work closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and audit readiness. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting BRC and customer audit preparation, including unannounced audits
  • Maintaining and improving our Quality Management System
  • Conducting internal audits and driving corrective actions
  • Leading investigations into customer complaints and supplier non-conformances
  • Monitoring microbiological trends, shelf-life testing and environmental swabbing programmes
  • Managing GMP, Glass & Plastic, paperwork compliance and hygiene standards
  • Coordinating product trials and validation activities
  • Producing technical KPIs and quality reports
  • Supporting customer visits and demonstrating our commitment to quality
  • Championing product quality, food safety and compliance across the factory
  • Delivering food safety and quality training across the site
  • Coaching production teams on allergens, CCPs, GMP and best practice
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • Helping maintain our excellent BRC standards and customer confidence

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene
  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of BRC standards, food legislation and customer Codes of Practice
  • Experience carrying out internal audits and supporting external audits
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • Good IT and reporting skills
