We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated and professional Engineering team in Clitheroe!
The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of engineering processes by maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production.

Schedule:3 on 3 off, Day Shift - 6am-6pm, Night Shift 6pm-6am, rotating.
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role
Your Duties Will Include
- Comply with all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform both reactive and proactive maintenance on a variety of packaging and process equipment.
- Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks as directed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Collaborate with Line Leaders and Production teams to optimize operational efficiency.
- Carry out general building and facilities maintenance across the main site and associated buildings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all maintenance activities, breakdowns, and PPMs.
- Ensure all departmental paperwork is completed, accurate, and up to date.
- Participate in projects involving machinery upgrades, installations, and site improvement works.
- Identify and manage spare parts requirements, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Operate safely at all times, minimizing risk to self and others.
- Work closely with production teams to achieve maximum equipment uptime and performance.
- Communicate technical and operational issues promptly and effectively to relevant departments.
- Attend meetings and deputize for the Senior Engineer when required.
- Lead maintenance and improvement projects, ensuring completion within agreed deadlines.
Your Skills and Experience
- Relevant Industry Qualification e. g. HNC/ONC/NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering etc.
- Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
