We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an Engineering Planner to join our dedicated and professional engineering support team in Clitheroe!

- Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 8:30am - 4pm
- Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role
Your Duties Will Include
- Ensure compliance with food safety, technical, and legislative standards.
- Identify and drive improvements in product quality and engineering performance.
- Promote Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across the engineering function.
- Complete risk assessments for all planned maintenance activities.
- Monitor and report maintenance costs, including labour and parts usage.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the true cost of asset downtime.
- Plan and prioritise maintenance work in line with site priorities.
- Determine required resources, materials, and parts for maintenance tasks.
- Liaise with stores to ensure availability of necessary components.
- Identify skill gaps and training needs to strengthen team capability.
- Ensure access to maintenance manuals, tools, and diagnostic resources.
- Communicate effectively and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement in plant, processes, safety, and quality.
- Support cost-benefit analysis to reduce maintenance requirements.
- Track and analyse downtime, failure rates, and recurring issues.
- Record and evaluate maintenance costs.
About You
- You will have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree (BSc, HND or HNC), or a degree in related Engineering fields.
- Alternatively, you may have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification with time-served experiences.
- 2+ years’ experience within food manufacturing or similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Experience using CMMS
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Package
- Understanding of RCM and different maintenance strategies.
- Understanding of FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
