This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Nurse seeking to broaden leadership skills and supervisory experience in an inpatient setting.
We are looking for a forward‑thinking, emotionally resilient and clinically credible individual who can thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment. The post‑holder must demonstrate strong leadership skills and motivate staff to deliver the trust’s core objectives, whilst supporting individual development within the team.
Responsibilities- Support the manager in overseeing nursing care delivery to patients on the ward and ensure high standards of care are met.
- Provide strong leadership to patients and staff, managing day‑to‑day operations and acting as unit coordinator when required.
- Strive for continuous improvement in care quality and maintain a high standard of the ward environment in accordance with CQC guidelines.
- Collaborate with community services, CCG and local authorities for effective patient care and bed flow.
- Provide support, guidance and teaching to junior members of the team and students, both informally and formally.
- Take charge in the absence of the Ward Manager, undertaking defined managerial responsibility for the ward.
The successful candidate will receive a full induction, proactive support, and be part of a supportive senior team with a proactive approach to clinical and professional development. Applicants must be a qualified nurse with relevant experience, be emotionally resilient, and possess strong leadership and communication skills.
