The predicted salary is between 37035 - 45265 £ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to support the Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Governance agenda within a clinical division. The post holder will provide administrative, practical and coordination support across a range of clinical governance activities, including patient safety, incident management, risk management and quality assurance. Working closely with the Clinical Governance Manager and Divisional Leads, they will support the delivery of the division’s clinical governance framework and ensure governance processes are maintained effectively. The role is based at either Northwick Park Hospital or Ealing Hospital; however, it is a cross-site position and travel between Trust sites will be required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administration and monitoring of patient safety incidents
  • Supporting the management and maintenance of the divisional risk register
  • Coordinating clinical governance, quality and patient safety programmes
  • Preparing agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Divisional Quality Groups
  • Working collaboratively with clinical, nursing and managerial teams across the Trust

The post holder will contribute to the continuous improvement of patient safety, quality and governance standards within the division and undertake other reasonable duties in line with service requirements. Support the delivery of a consistent and accessible Clinical Governance service within the Division, acting as the first point of contact for incident management, patient safety and governance enquiries. Support the implementation of Trust patient safety and clinical governance strategies, ensuring learning is shared and outcomes monitored. Undertake initial assessment of incident reports, escalating, reallocating or adjusting reports as required. Quality check completed investigations, approve reports for closure where appropriate, provide guidance to investigators and escalate complex cases for further review. Support patient safety reviews commissioned by the Emerging Incident Review Group (EIRG), including coordinating meetings, taking minutes, monitoring action plans, tracking deadlines and sharing learning outcomes. Maintain and update divisional risk registers, support clinical audit programmes, mortality reviews, NICE compliance, quality assurance initiatives and external inspections. Extract, analyse and present incident, risk, audit and governance data to support assurance reporting, compliance monitoring and service improvement. Provide administrative support to the Divisional Quality Board and governance groups, including arranging meetings, maintaining action logs and producing reports and presentations. Support the delivery of governance training, staff communications, newsletters and intranet content.
