Brooklands Hospital is a highly specialist hospital home to several specialist secure / nonsecure wards, caring for people with learning disabilities and autism. Together, we make an incredible difference to people’s lives; our patients can sometimes become distressed, which can be upsetting to see. Our ward and staff teams are highly skilled to manage these situations and ensure the wellbeing of both patients and staff across our wards. We want to be upfront about what to expect, and while it can be challenging at times, it is also an incredibly rewarding environment to grow your career and make a difference.

We’re looking for Clinical Admin Support who brings organisation, forward thinking, initiative and a can-do attitude to a busy clinical environment. You’ll support Unit Managers with staffing / operational related tasks, help keep on top of sickness monitoring and minute meetings, work alongside the ward team to keep day-to-day operations flowing, and be a supervisor to the unit's ward clerk. If you enjoy being in the centre of the action and making a real difference to how a service runs, we’d love to hear from you.

This is more than an admin role – you’ll be a key part of the team supporting individuals with complex needs, helping to create a positive and safe environment for both patients and staff.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide administrative support to Unit Managers, helping oversee staff / operational related issues such as sickness absence tracking, return-to-work processes, and performance concerns.
  • Attend, organise, and minute meetings – ensuring action points are captured, distributed, and followed up.
  • Work closely with the Ward Clerk to support the smooth functioning of the unit, helping with administrative workflows, ad hoc tasks, and coordination across teams.
  • Undertake other administrative tasks as needed - from data entry and reporting to correspondence, filing, and general unit support.

At Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), we deliver a wide range of physical, mental health, learning disability and autism services, and are proud to serve communities across Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond. We put ‘people at our heart’; this ethos is at the centre of everything we do and how we do it. We care for our staff and colleagues as much as they care for others and offer a wide range of benefits and development opportunities:

  • Generous annual leave entitlement which increases during your time with us.
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities, including apprenticeship frameworks, distance learning, internal training, coaching and mentoring, and much more.
  • Salary sacrifice schemes for lease car/vehicle, Cycle to Work, home and electronics, gym membership and more.
  • Discounts with a range of retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues through our Employee Assistance Programme and NHS discount schemes.
  • Wellbeing support, including an in-house counselling service, external helpline and more.
  • Staff networks and support groups.

We’re always on the lookout for people who share our passion for improving the lives and wellbeing of people in our community, as well as our values of compassion, collaboration, excellence, integrity and respect.
