HGV C+E (LGV Class One) Drivers - Newton Aycliffe Depot
Start of the assignment: Immediately!
The Best Connection are working closely with our client to recruit Class 1 HGV C+E drivers to build on the existing team at their new Newton Aycliffe depot.

Paid inductions are taking place on Tuesday 1st of September 2026 at 08:00am.
These are immediate-start positions, with opportunities for temporary-to-permanent employment. Successful drivers are guaranteed a permanent contract within 14 weeks.
The role includes
- Collections and deliveries.
- An average of approximately 10 runs per shift.
- Same set route each day across the North east Regions.
- Manual handling is heavily involved, with drivers assisting with loading and unloading parcels at the depot and customer locations.
- Drivers will also use devices and company software to update delivery statuses and communicate with the depot.
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
- Rate of Pay: £19.08ph
- Rate of pay: Overtime: £27.76ph
Over time available after 40 working hours - during peak times which are set for Mid November - end of January.
Driver requirements
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC, regardless of whether driving on or off site.
- Valid Driver Digital Tachograph Card, which must be used at all times when driving, both on and off site.
- Minimum of 6 months' experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
