The Best Connection is currently recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers for an established food distribution client based in Nursling. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Salary: £18.50 / £20.50 per hour
Location: Nursling, Southampton
Details of the role:
- Working on a temp to perm contract; subject to passing trial period you will become a permanent member of staff.
- The shifts are early AM start between 01:00am-02:00am, average working shift is 8-10 hours.
- This role is working on a 28-week rolling rota, working 4 days on and 2 days off.
- Paying between £18.50-£20.50 per hour with an 8-hour minimum shift.
- Overtime paid on weekends and bank holidays.
- You will be delivering bread to a variety of customers around the SO area.
- All products are stacked in cages and offloaded via tail lift into the supermarket delivery area.
- New passes welcome, with 3-6 months class 2 commercial driving experience.
- Drivers must have good communication skills and be willing to be flexible with finish times.
- Vehicle checks before and after each shift.
- Full Cat C Licence, valid CPC & Digi Card.
- Class 2 experience driving rigid vehicles.
- On-site parking.
- Reliable and professional attitude.
