Main duties of the job:

By joining Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, you’ll become part of a dedicated team covering Elective Orthopaedics and the opportunity to rotate to other specialities. We’re looking for Scrub Practitioners who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred surgical care, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and excited to embrace new challenges.

As a valued team member, you’ll also play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring future healthcare professionals, helping shape the next generation of theatre experts. To support the Team Leaders in the day-to-day efficient running of the clinical area by providing excellent peri-op care to patients by maintaining standards of care and professional practice.

You will be responsible for assisting in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care to meet the personalised health and wellbeing needs of patients in line with the Trust Values / HCPC and NMC professional frameworks. Ensure the productive operation of the clinical area by ensuring that a well-organised and safe environment is maintained.

Act as a strong role model and encourage and support the professional development of self and others. Provide clinical supervision and direction for all colleagues and students to support them in reaching their full potential.
