The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining parks, play areas, cemeteries, and other public spaces to a high standard. Duties will include:
- Grass cutting and strimming
- Hedge and shrub maintenance
- General horticultural and grounds maintenance work
- Litter picking and cleaning public areas
- Maintaining parks, open spaces, and cemeteries
- General grounds upkeep and seasonal maintenance tasks
- Safe operation of chainsaws and other grounds maintenance equipment
- Operating ride-on mowers, stand-on mowers, brush cutters, hedge cutters (preferably electric), and pedestrian/push mowers
- Driving a flatbed truck and an electric Ford Transit van as required
Requirements
• We're looking for someone who is
- Physically fit and reliable
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- IT literate
- Previous grounds maintenance or horticulture experience
- A valid Chainsaw Licence/Certification (NPTC/LANTRA or equivalent) - Essential
- Experience operating ride-on mowers, stand-on mowers, brush cutters, hedge cutters (preferably electric), and pedestrian/push mowers
- Ability to drive a flatbed truck and an electric Ford Transit van
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate - Essential
- Full UK driving licence - Essential
