Titan Recruitment Solutions Bristol are currently recruiting for a Class 2 HGV Gritter Driver to join our client based in Chippenham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver looking for temporary work with a reputable local employer.
This is a weather-dependent role, with each assignment typically lasting 2–3 weeks, offering regular work throughout the year as and when required.
No previous gritter experience is needed, as full training will be provided.
If you have experience driving a Class 2 vehicle and are looking for a varied role with competitive pay, we'd love to hear from you.
During the winter months, you'll be responsible for operating a gritter vehicle to spread salt across local roads, helping to keep the road network safe.
During the summer months, you'll be carrying out dust spreading duties across designated routes.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV gritter vehicle.
- Complete planned gritting and dust spreading routes.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.
- Follow health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Deliver a professional and reliable service at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
- A reliable and flexible approach to work, as shifts are weather dependent.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and road transport regulations.
- Full gritter training will be provided, so previous gritter experience is not essential.
Monday to Friday working pattern.
Temporary assignments lasting a minimum of 2–3 weeks.
Full gritter training provided.
Weekly pay.
