We are looking for a GDC registered extended duties dental nurse to join our team in Hainault Health Centre, Chigwell. The post holder will use their strong evidenced based oral health knowledge to promote good oral health and support schools/early year settings in launching and sustaining an effective and safe toothbrushing scheme. They will have high standards of infection control and be comfortable working independently, managing a varied work load, across multiple sites. This role will include travel within NE London.

As a GDC registered extended duties dental nurse you will be working as part of the Oral Health Promotion Team based in three locations across North East London. Your key responsibilities will be helping to launch and deliver the National Supervised Toothbrushing Programme across North East London. Specifically, this will include delivering training to staff in schools and early years settings within the community in line with national public health guidance using pre-designed PowerPoint templates and toolkits. You will work closely with your Oral Health Practitioner and there may be occasions for you to support the wider team at Oral Health Promotion events within the community. There will be some office-based work to prepare for these supervised toothbrushing training sessions. You will need to be enthusiastic, organised, flexible, have good communication skills, and excellent time management.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026.
