We're looking for an experienced and proactive Programme Lead – Employability & Health to lead the successful delivery of high-profile programmes that help people overcome barriers to work and improve their health outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering flagship programmes including Connect to Work, Thrive to Work, and future initiatives that will make a lasting difference to communities across the region.

As Programme Lead, you'll be responsible for the operational leadership of a portfolio of Employability & Health programmes, ensuring they are delivered effectively, achieve funded outcomes, and provide an excellent participant experience. You'll work closely with local authorities, the Department for Work and Pensions, health partners, providers and internal teams to oversee programme performance, governance, risk management and continuous improvement. You'll also lead and develop a small programme team while providing assurance and high-quality reporting to senior leaders and the EMCCA Board.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of Employability & Health programmes, including Connect to Work.
  • Develop and maintain programme delivery plans, ensuring milestones, quality and value for money are achieved.
  • Oversee programme performance, governance, reporting and risk management.
  • Build strong partnerships with providers, local authorities, health organisations and government departments.
  • Use performance data and insight to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop programme staff, supporting high performance and collaboration.
  • Prepare reports, business cases and briefings for senior leadership and governance boards.
  • Support the development of future programmes and funding opportunities.
  • Represent EMCCA with regional and national stakeholders when required.
