These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working across a range of primary schools in Cheshunt and nearby areas, supporting pupils with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis.
Duties as SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with SEND
- Assist with personalised learning plans and interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress
- Help manage classroom routines and transitions
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children with SEND in UK primary schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant
- Ability to adapt to different pupil needs and school environments
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- HLTA qualification or relevant training is desirable
- Passionate about inclusive education and pupil development
