Community Staff Nurse - Lower Lea Valley | Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust in Cheshunt

An opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse to join the friendly Lower Lea Valley Integrated Community Team which provides care to patients in Cheshunt and surrounding areas. The service covers the hours of 08:00 - 22:00, 7 days a week.

If you are a student nurse, we would welcome your application, as working in an acute Trust is not compulsory before gaining your first position in the community; we provide full training and support. We also welcome applications from acute nurses who are looking for a community-based role.

The post offers varied and interesting community experience in a well-supported environment and is an ideal opportunity for a nurse interested in working in the community. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, provide, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for a wide range of conditions. The team covers a 7 days a week service, and therefore a flexible approach to working is required.

A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

The annual programme will cover topics such as patient safety, communication skills, safeguarding, quality improvement, leadership, and management. As a Preceptee, you will have regular meetings with your preceptor and AHP Preceptorship lead.

Providing a high standard of patient care using an evidence-based framework, the post holder is a member of the Integrated Community Nursing Team and may take responsibility in the absence of the Community Nursing Sister for the team and caseload. The post holder is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised nursing care to patients living in the community.

If you do not have full NMC registration, unfortunately, your application will not be successful. Whilst we can sponsor fully registered candidates who live outside the UK, we are unable to pay relocation costs.
