Dog Walker, where your passion for animal care and commitment to safety will make a real difference. We are looking for a dedicated and confident individual to provide compassionate, engaging, and professional care for dogs, ensuring their wellbeing while meeting the expectations of our clients.
The Role
As a
Dog Walker, you will be responsible for safely exercising and caring for dogs, reinforcing positive behaviour, and maintaining high welfare standards. You will work closely with the Senior Dog Handler and maintain clear communication with clients to ensure their pets receive the highest level of care.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone confident, observant, and genuinely passionate about working with dogs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise dogs, ensuring they receive appropriate physical activity and enrichment.
- Provide fresh water and approved treats where required.
- Reinforce basic commands such as sit, stay, and heel.
- Monitor dogs' health and behaviour, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Maintain professional communication, providing updates when required.
- Follow strict safety protocols, including the use of secure leads and harnesses.
- Avoid unsafe interactions with unknown animals and ensure the safety of all dogs at all times.
- Adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, and client needs.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Undertake additional duties within the scope of the role as required.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a professional with:
- Previous experience working with dogs (Essential).
- Confidence handling sharp or reactive dogs (Essential).
- A clean UK Driving Licence (Essential).
- A qualification in Dog Care (Desirable).
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a calm, responsible manner.
