Are you passionate about food? Do you enjoy meeting and working with a variety of people? We currently have an exciting new opportunity at Broomfield Hospital to work in our newly refurbished Restaurant as a Catering Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of general catering duties in an effective and efficient manner, promoting a positive and professional image.
- Carry out basic food preparation to include packing, labelling, displaying and chilling of sandwiches and other food products.
- Serve meals within the agreed standards for portion control and presentation.
- Clean, prepare and stock display counters as per daily routine.
- Operate electronic tills, taking cash and assisting the duty supervisor to reconcile takings at the end of each shift, observing Standing Financial Instructions.
- Ensure areas are kept clean, tidy and in a safe manner.
- Have knowledge of barista style coffees.
- Distribute provisions, meals and small equipment within the department and hospital site.
- Visit the wards on a regular basis to promote good patient/customer relations.
