I am currently representing a Fire & Security specialist company that delivers design, installation and maintenance services to a range of clients across England.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Fire & Security Estimator / Designer to join their office-based team.
This role would suit someone with strong estimating experience who is also confident producing designs across fire and security systems.
The position will be predominantly office-based, with an element of working from home.
The client would consider an experienced estimator/designer who is ready to step into a more senior role, with the opportunity to manage a team and help develop the division, or someone who is looking to progress into this level in the near future.

Duties
- Preparing accurate estimates, quotations and design proposals for fire and security projects across commercial and enterprise-level systems.
- Producing detailed designs for fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and associated security systems.
- Reviewing specifications, drawings, site information and tender documentation to prepare competitive and commercially sound bids.
- Working closely with sales, operations, project managers and engineers to ensure estimates are technically accurate and deliverable.
- Handling enterprise-level systems and larger-scale projects, ensuring design and pricing align with client requirements and industry standards.
- Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain costs, technical information and product support.
- Supporting tender submissions, value engineering, project handovers and client presentations where required.
- Taking responsibility for developing the estimating/design function, with the potential to manage a team and grow the division.
Requirements
- Experience estimating within the Fire & Security industry.
- Ability to produce or support designs across fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder and integrated security systems.
- Experience working on enterprise-level systems or large commercial projects.
- Strong commercial awareness when pricing projects, reviewing specifications and liaising with customers and suppliers.
- Confident working from an office environment, with flexibility for some home working.
- Ideal for someone looking to step into a senior role, manage a team and take ownership of a growing division.
