Tameside & Glossop NHS Charity and Stockport NHS Charity are looking for an experienced charity officer to join our exciting team.

As the charity officer you would lead on community fundraising, marketing and supporter stewardship as well as various other duties suitable to the role and position.

The successful candidate would be able to work independently as well as under direction from the two charity managers.

Whilst charity experience is desirable, we would welcome applications from candidates that have relevant experience in other public facing industries.

  • Support inspiring fundraising campaigns and events, helping to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities that make a real difference to patients, staff and local communities.
  • Build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, community groups, local businesses and Trust colleagues to support fundraising initiatives and create positive supporter experiences.
  • Be at the heart of charity operations by managing enquiries, maintaining accurate records and supporting the administration of fundraising activities, donor databases and charity reporting.
  • Help grow our charity's profile through marketing campaigns, promotional materials, magazines, social media content and fundraising merchandise.
  • Support exciting communications projects, contributing to internal and external communication campaigns, Trust events and digital engagement activities.
  • Create engaging content, including charity impact stories, reports, promotional materials and social media posts that showcase the difference donations make.
  • Monitor performance and identify opportunities by tracking fundraising and communication activity, analysing engagement data and supporting new initiatives to increase community involvement.
  • Work across dynamic teams, collaborating with Charity and Communications colleagues and representing the teams at events and stakeholder engagements.
