Cargo Warehouse Operative / X-ray screeners to work for one of our clients based at East Midlands Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in logistics, distribution and supply chain management, with full Aviation and X-ray Training provided.

Pay:

  • £12.71ph (08:00-20:00)
  • £13.70 (20:00-08:00)

Duration: Ongoing

Hours: 5 out of 7 Monday-Sunday 22:00-05:00

Location: East Midlands Airport

Requirements of a Cargo Warehouse Operative:

  • Apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)
  • Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)
  • Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)
  • Provide a full 5-year address history
  • Attend an Aviation Security Course (Paid for by us!)

Role of a Cargo Warehouse Operative:

  • Trained to air side standards
  • Labelling Parcels
  • Scanning Parcels
  • Uploading information on to a Computer
  • Lifting and Moving Parcels (may be up to 10kg in certain areas)
  • Physical Inspection of Cargo
  • Operation of x-ray machines
  • Responsible for using x-ray machines to identify dangerous objects in cargo and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft
  • Maintain focus and awareness within an environment containing numerous distractions, people and noise
  • Work within a demanding environment, time critical and the requirement to identify and locate potentially life-threatening devices and devices intended on creating massive destruction
  • Make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations
