We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join the team at Palace House Nursing Home on a self-employed/contract basis, working approximately 3–5 days per week.
The role will involve preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents, including catering for individual dietary requirements, allergies, modified-texture diets and preferences.
Responsibilities
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, evening meals and snacks
- Following agreed menus and residents’ dietary requirements
- Catering for special diets, allergies and texture-modified meals
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Completing food safety records, temperature checks and other required documentation
- Managing stock and assisting with food ordering
- Working closely with care and nursing staff regarding residents’ nutritional needs
