Salary: The hourly rate will be between £13.50 and £14.50. Based on skill and prior experience.
We are looking for a Temporary IT Assistant to join our team for the next few weeks to help with the build and preparation of our Raspberry Pi-based devices.
This is a straightforward, hands-on role focused primarily on building, configuring and testing devices. You will work alongside our IT Manager and follow established build processes to ensure each device is completed correctly and ready for deployment.
Previous Raspberry Pi experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble Raspberry Pi-based devices and associated hardware.
- Install and configure software according to our build process.
- Package, label and drop shipments for delivery (requires occasional lifting)
- Follow step-by-step build and configuration instructions.
- Carry out basic testing of completed devices.
- Identify and report any hardware or software issues.
- Make sure devices are built consistently and to the required standard.
- Label and organise completed devices and associated equipment.
- Keep the workspace and equipment organised.
- Record completed builds and any issues identified.
- Assist with general technical tasks relating to the device build process as required.
