An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading engineering organisation delivering programmes.
This customer-facing role will take ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, quality and timescale objectives.
Working closely with customers, you will play a key role in driving successful project outcomes and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Heavy Maintenance and Rolling Stock Overhaul projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring delivery against contract requirements, KPIs, budgets and timelines.
- Develop project delivery plans, resource strategies, programmes and cost plans, while coordinating operational teams to achieve safe and successful outcomes.
- Manage customer relationships and complex stakeholder engagement, ensuring project objectives, customer expectations and commercial targets are met.
- Monitor project performance, margins, risks and financials through reporting, analysis and corrective actions to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee project governance, meetings, health & safety compliance, competency requirements, tender support and project close-out activities, including lessons learned reviews.
Requirements
- Proven project management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering complex projects to agreed timescales, scope and quality standards.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project, with the ability to produce and manage detailed project plans and reports.
- Excellent organisational, time management and attention-to-detail skills, enabling effective prioritisation in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Collaborative team player who is also capable of working independently and using initiative to resolve issues.
- Strong customer-focused mindset, with well-developed stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
