As an Assistant Psychologist you will provide clinical, research and administrative support to the psychological therapies staff in the all-age eating disorder service under their direct guidance and supervision, in order to assist in providing and monitoring the service provision within the Service Line.

This role can be based at either Canterbury or Maidstone. The post holder will be a member of the Kent and Medway All-age Eating Disorders team. The post holder will be required to identify, assess and manage people who present with a range of eating disorder issues. The post holder will be a member of the team and have support of other team members in the management of these cases. The post holder will be expected to attend and participate in team meetings.

The post holder will support people and enhance the professional psychological care within the service, across all sectors of care, providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions of a routine nature, under the direct supervision of a qualified professional psychologist drawing on their supervisor’s expertise. To work according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
