Duties as a Vehicle Damage Assessor
- Conduct accurate and thorough damage assessments as a Vehicle Damage Assessor
- Engage with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair shops to evaluate vehicle damage
- Create detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software such as Audatex
- Negotiate and agree repair costs with insurers and manage repair processes
- Oversee repair work ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Communicate repair progress updates effectively to customers and stakeholders
- Accurately document all activities in compliance with insurance regulations
- Keep up-to-date with the latest in automotive systems and industry best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
- Proficiency in estimating damage costs, especially for large repairs
- Experience using Audatex or similar estimating software
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle components
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in estimating and invoicing software
- Understanding of insurance industry procedures and regulations
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are advantageous
