Trainee Technician: Grade 3 (SCP 22-28) to Grade 4 (SCP 32-38) - £25,767.59 to £30,877.31.

Dunbartonshire and Argyll & Bute Valuation Joint Board is an independent local government body.

We compile and maintain the Valuation Rolls, Council Tax Valuation Lists and Registers of Electors for the Argyll & Bute, East Dunbartonshire and West Dunbartonshire Council areas.

The Board employs approximately 50 people across our office locations in Clydebank & Campbeltown.

We are seeking trainee technicians to be based in our Clydebank or Campbeltown offices (salary placement will depend on qualification and experience).

The successful candidate would be expected to survey, measure and propose valuations of lands and heritages for the purposes of the Lands Valuation Acts and the Local Government Finance Act 1992.

Applicants must be computer literate and should have excellent communication/negotiation and team working skills.

You will have a positive, professional, and responsible attitude, coupled with the ability to multi-task, while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved.

You will have the ability to work as part of a team or individually, and be expected to guide and mentor trainees as required.

A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes is essential for this role.

For clarity, the requirement to undertake an HNC applies only to a permanent role. This fixed‑term appointment will not include the HNC element of the job profile.
