The Best Connection are proud to be supporting this well established family run business and are recruiting for Semi Skilled labourers to join their growing team. The Best Connection are delighted to be recruiting for General Operative for one of our clients who specialise in providing garden/property landscaping and fencing solutions across Beds and Cambs.

Candidates will work as part of either a 2 person or 3 person team and will need to travel to the St Neots depot. This is a physical role that will involve working outside in all weathers, so applicants must have some previous labouring/gardening experience as the role will involve manual handling and some heavy lifting.

Shift patterns: Monday - Friday, start times will be from 07:00 - 16:30 hours but may vary depending on customer demand.

Pay rate: £13 per hour.

Responsibilities of the Production Operative/Labourer:

  • Carry out general labouring duties, installing and removing landscaping and fencing products.
  • Assist with customer requests and requirements.
  • Carry out general labouring, heavy lifting and site clearance as required.
  • Report to the site supervisor and carry out duties as required, following health and safety protocol at all times.
  • Provide the highest standards of customer service as this role is customer facing and will involve working in private gardens.

Requirements of the Production Operative/Labourer:

  • Must have previous labouring/production experience.
  • Must be reliable and hardworking, physically fit as this is a physically demanding job.
  • Live locally or reliably travel to St Neots.
  • Have a friendly can-do attitude and be able to work on own initiative to carry out tasks to scheduled times.
