Join us and make a difference to a child's life. We wish to recruit staff nurses to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary teams that provide specialist services to children, young people and families within our mental health services.

Our CAMHS Inpatient Unit consists of two wards rated Good by CQC. The Hope Unit, based in Bury, provides general adolescent and eating disorder inpatient care and treatment for young people aged 13-18 years. Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded Lead Provider role for the Greater Manchester CAMHS Inpatient Lead Provider Collaborative and there has never been a more exciting time to join our innovative and quality driven service.

We are looking to recruit nurses who are passionate about working in CAMHS, supporting young people along with their parents and carers, with the ability to work flexible shift patterns over seven days, including rotation to night duty.

As a qualified nurse, you would be a vital member of the team in delivering person-centred care to those admitted onto the ward. You will be working with people who can be very distressed and display some very challenging behaviours. It will be your responsibility to provide reassurance and distraction, using care and compassion, for young people experiencing mental ill health. You will also be responsible for a wide range of tasks such as care planning and implementation, risk assessment, physical health assessment, liaising with the wider MDT, ward rounds and you will be a named nurse.

We would absolutely love to hear from Student Nurses who are due to qualify and are keen to start their career as a registered nurse with CAMHS.

We are proud to provide high quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester - Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside and Glossop. Our vision is for a happier and more hopeful life for everyone in our communities and our staff work hard to deliver the very best care for the people who use our services. We’re really proud of our Pennine Care People and do everything we can to make sure we’re a great place to work.

All individuals regardless of race, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnership are encouraged to apply for this post. We would also encourage applications from individuals with a lived experience of mental illness, either individually or as a carer.

Please see attached job description and person specification for further information on the role. When completing your application form and to ensure you stand the best chance of being selected for interview, ensure you give real life examples of how you have met/demonstrated each of the essential criteria. These examples can be from work, education, volunteering or day to day life.

Please submit one application only. We will be interviewing successfully shortlisted candidates continuously. This advert closes on Tuesday 4 Aug 2026.
