Senior education mental health practitioner (MHST) | Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Bury

Join us as a Senior Educational Mental Health Practitioner within our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of schools and communities, delivering evidence-based interventions and supporting children and families with mild to moderate mental health difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, and behavioural challenges.

You will:

• Carry out high-quality mental health assessments for children and young people referred to the service.
• Deliver CBT or CBT-informed interventions, individually and in groups, tailored to assessed needs.
• Provide consultation and advice to education staff and other professionals to support whole‑school approaches to mental health.
• Manage a defined caseload effectively, ensuring timely care planning and delivery.
• Offer clinical supervision and mentorship to colleagues and trainees.
• Monitor outcomes using Routine Outcome Measures (ROM) and engage in clinical review where necessary.
• Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and liaise with external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
