We provide high-quality care for adults aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Alexander Care Home.
This role offers 33 hours per week, working 12-hour day shifts from 8am to 8pm with unpaid breaks of 1 hour spread throughout the day.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will bring previous care experience and a passion for supporting in a residential care setting.
You will lead and inspire a team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional, person-centred care to our residents enabling them to live well and comfortably.
Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal care, supporting their health and wellbeing through meaningful activities, administering medication, and maintaining accurate care records and care plans.
This is a varied and rewarding role where your leadership and compassion will make a real difference every day.

Key Responsibilities
- Report to the Registered Manager.
- Supervise care services in line with agreed standards.
- Lead and support a team of Care Assistants to ensure high quality care is given to residents.
- Undertake training to maintain up to date practices.
- Deliver and provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents.
- Support and assist with personal care (washing, dressing, and toileting)
- Support residents with mobility and mealtimes.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate care plans and records.
- Respond to concerns in line with policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
