Overview
We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with a current UK NMC PIN number and a passion for delivering outstanding care to join us on site at Cygnet Hospital Bury.
The role requires full-time commitment (37.5 hours a week) across days, nights, and weekends on one of our CAMHS wards at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood.
Responsibilities
- Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations
- Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
- Administer prescribed medicines in accordance with healthcare procedures and commission guidelines
- Ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collectively with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals under NMC guidelines
- Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing practice
- Deputise in a clinical lead role when required
- Monitor, manage, and reduce risk to support patient recovery and safety
- Empower and support service‑user independence
Qualifications
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with a current UK NMC PIN number
- Experience in mental health nursing, ideally within a CAMHS or acute setting
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to undertake audits
- Open, compassionate, honest, and resilient professional demeanor
- Capability to maintain comprehensive care planning and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
