We are working with a leading independent online retailer to recruit an experienced Optical Assistant to join their head office team near Bury, Greater Manchester. The Role
As an Optical Assistant, you'll join the customer service team and use your optical knowledge to support customers with everything from frame and lens selection through to prescriptions, orders and aftercare. Rather than working on the shop floor, you'll support customers from the company's modern head office via email, live chat and telephone. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice on prescription lenses, frames and sunglasses
- Supporting customers with frame and lens selection
- Responding to customer enquiries via email, live chat and telephone
- Assisting with orders, amendments, tracking and aftercare
- Resolving customer queries and concerns efficiently
- Managing and recording customer interactions accurately
About You
We're looking for somebody with previous experience working as an Optical Assistant who is confident using their optical knowledge in a customer-focused environment. You’ll ideally have:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confidence communicating with customers by phone, email and live chat
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
What's On Offer
