We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operative positions in Burton-Upon-Trent (DE14 2UZ).
At Waterstones Bookseller, you will become part of a supportive and welcoming team, working under the guidance of inspiring leaders across various departments.
Our dedicated on-site team is here to assist you in your role, ensuring you have the resources and support needed to excel in your position.
- Role of a Warehouse Operative
- Accurately pick and pack books and toys using RDT technology
- Carry out a variety of warehouse duties including sorting, picking, and packing
- Handle tasks involving lifting, moving items, walking, and standing for most of the shift
- Prepare goods for dispatch, including labelling, wrapping, and ensuring secure packaging
- Operate pump trucks safely and efficiently
- Follow standard operating procedures in line with company policies
- Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety, reporting any concerns immediately
- Support stock management activities, including inventory counts and investigations when required
- Work closely with the Team Leader to complete daily operational tasks
- Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the business
