We are currently recruiting for MHE Operative Roles - Reach Truck positions in Burton-Upon-Trent (DE14 2UZ). At Waterstones Bookseller, you will become part of a supportive and welcoming team, working under the guidance of inspiring leaders across various departments. Our dedicated on-site team is here to assist you in your role, ensuring you have the resources and support needed to excel in your position.
As a MHE Driver you will need to have:
- Good communication skills and the ability to speak, read and write basic English
- Able to follow instructions
- Numerical and focused on accuracy
- Ability to give attention to detail
- Good awareness of Health & Safety
- A Forklift Licence is REQUIRED
Details:
- Working Hours: Day shifts may vary: 06:00-14:00, 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00 or 14:00-22:00, moving to nights 22:00-06:00. 5 days out of 7, including Sundays.
- Location: Centrum 100, Burton on Trent, DE14 2UZ, United Kingdom
- Duration: Ongoing
Role of a MHE Driver:
- Operating a MHE truck to load and unload goods
- Loading/unloading stock on the warehouse racking
- Moving stock around the warehouse to make space for new products arriving
- Operating MHE trucks
- Manually loading/off-loading smaller stock items
- Working as a team to meet targets in all areas of the warehouse
- Handling and storing materials safely and efficiently
- Picking and packing orders according to company standards
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern immediately
- Assist with inventory counting and stock investigations when necessary
- Support Colleagues and Team Leader with all day to day tasks
